Mau Mau

Mau Mau is a traditional card game popular in Germany and Central Europe, belonging to the "shedding" card game genre. The goal of the game is to be the first to run out of cards by playing cards according to the rules.

How to play Mau Mau

• Each player is assigned either 5 or 6 cards, contingent upon the number of players. The remaining cards are arranged in the draw pile with their faces facing downwards.
• During card games, players alternate playing cards. The played card must accurately match the suit or number of the highest-ranking card in the discard pile. 
• In the event that there is no appropriate card available for play, the player is required to select a card from the draw pile. Provided that the card drawn is appropriate, the player can proceed to play without delay. 

Highlights of Mau Mau

There are many special cards that can help you turn the situation around, so be careful: 

• 7: The next player must draw 2 cards or play another 7 to pass the draw turn to the next player. 
• 8: Skip the next player's turn. 
• J: Free card, can be played on any card and the player can choose a new suit.
• A: Change the direction of play.
